My childhood memories of going to the dentist were so traumatic that I developed a motto: “If it doesn’t bother me, I won’t bother it”, and thus I neglected my teeth for years. The cavity protecting toothpastes, gels and rinses along with some orajel from time to time kept me going until recently. I had forgotten just how painful a toothache can be, so I got a referral to Dr. Yazdi and called one morning with a throbbing tooth. They were able to see me that afternoon.

When I arrived in the office, I was filled with panic and fear, but then I met Kelly, Marlen and Dr. Yazdi. They understood my phobia and made me feel comfortable and more importantly, relieved the pain. Dr. Yazdi sat with me and went over my x-rays. She explained what was going on in my mouth and gave me options to treat my teeth and gums. I went for a second visit and had extensive work done (almost 4 hours). My third visit was quick and painless.

I knocked my two front teeth out in 12th grade on a rafting trip. I have gone through a couple sets of cosmetic replacements, starting with the original 2 veneers put on in 1993, followed by 4 chairside bonded veneers in 1998. My teeth by 2008 were small, square and yellow, not really at all like my original teeth. My mom said they looked like "Chiclets". I found Dr. Yazdi's practice because I really needed the old bonded veneers to be replaced and I felt like my smile need to be better. When I first went in for a cleaning and an assessment, she was very nice and her office was very clean and professional. She has relationships with a great periodontist right next door and an efficient lab technician, who actually makes your veneers, which results in an awesome smile. In addition to my old veneers, I had a "gummy" smile. She recommended that I have gum surgery to correct my gum line, before being fitted for a set of 6 porcelain veneers. She was very thorough in explaining the process and I felt comfortable getting the work done there. The process took about 5 months. I am very detail oriented and require a certain level of attention, especially with regards to dental work. She did such a nice job and was totally willing to work with me on any issues I felt needed addressing, she even replaced a couple I had problems with. My smile is now awesome, my teeth are very natural looking, beautiful and white...just in time for my wedding! I feel like I look younger and happier - and my teeth have never been cleaner. In addition to being a cosmetic dentist, she actually cleans your teeth too! I have been going to Dr. Yazdi now for about 2 years, and my husband now visits her as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yazdi for any of your cosmetic dental needs. I am really happy with my smile!
